My California
After I got my flight tickets and the big Rimova baggage is checked in, I walked straight to the gate and I take my cowboy shoes, belt, iPad, cell, watch and placed them into a box. Then walk through the security take my things out of the box, and the 6.2 tall man is complete again, ready for take off.
I quickly handle some phone calls, check few emails and walk to the gate and a flight lieutenant welcomes me with a big smile and asks me for my seat number. After I reply, she lets me know where my row and seat is located and odd I go to my seat.
It's so multicultural to fly. I get to meet people from different countries and sit now together for the next 10 hours. Little, small, young and old, big, slim, Muslim , Christian, Jewish, Buddhism, black, white, yellow are all together on a journey for a short time until we land, then everyone goes on to their destinations.
I put my little baggage up in the boxes and sit down and relax. The steward comes and gives me a glass of orange juice and after I relax a little I say "hi" to my neighbor and 30 min later the Boeing is ready to take off. A few min later we are in the clouds.
I close my eyes say a personal prayer and after this the process of serving food and drinks starts. When little belly is full, the steward takes the plate and I check the Delta entertainment movies on my screen. I can't wait to have the Internet on my future international flights ! Delta already has this feature for their continental flights and I make full use of it. What a blessing !
I take my iPad and write some notes to myself like what this trip is for, and the end results I need to accomplish. Later I’ll watch 1-2 movies an then I start to close my eyes and take a nap.
Now I’m dreaming about the valleys and mountains from my California, LA, Malibu, Hollywood, Disneyland, Universal studios, the walk of fame, my friends, hummingbirds, American Breakfast, my CMC family, and my close friends I’ll be seeing Pastor Andrae’ Crouch and his twin sister Pastor Sandra Crouch and I feel right at home.
The flight goes over the Atlantic, and Canada, then onto New York and we land in Atlanta. the home base for Delta. Atlanta, is also where the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King was born.
I went through immigration and checked in for my 2-3 hour flight to LA. I have 2 hours time to spend so I walk over to my favorite restaurant FRIDAYS. I love the chicken wings from Fridays, my taste buds say they are awesome.
Than I check for LA and the Delta plane has Internet and I’m happy. I check my emails, skype to few friends and see later the lights of Las Vegas. It’s then I remember, droving through the desert in a Porsche 911 from Vegas to LA. I will never forget this trip. LOL
Later I see the colorful airport of LA and my heart beats faster, home sweet home.
